WALTHAM, Mass. – For the second time this season,
Nicholas Bevilacqua was selected as the Atlantic Hockey Goalie of the Week. The sophomore helped lead Bentley to a 3-2 win over Niagara last Saturday.
Bevilacqua turned away 26 shots as the Falcons closed out the first half of the season with a victory over the Purple Eagles. He made 10 saves in the third period to help protect the one-goal lead. The final 2:25 came with Niagara having an extra skater on the ice.
Bevilacqua was previously the AHA Goalie of the Week on October 28 after a series sweep of Canisius.
On the season, he has a 4-1-1 record with a .935 save percentage and 1.65 goals against average.
He ranks second nationally in GAA and sixth in save percentage.
Bentley ended the first half at 9-6-1 overall and 8-1-1 in the AHA.
