Game Recap: Men's Basketball |

Career Night by Misic Leads Bentley to 6th Straight Win

COLCHESTER, Vt. – Graduate forward Ivan Misic (Toronto, Ont.) poured in a career-best 30 points, matching the most by a Falcon this season, as Bentley University earned its sixth straight win, 84-64 over St. Michael's College in Northeast-10 Conference men's basketball.

With the win, coach Jay Lawson's team moved into a tie for second place in the conference, along with Pace University, and improved to 16-8 overall, including 13-5 NE10. The Falcons, who have won nine of their last ten away from home, also secured a first-round bye in the upcoming conference championships.

Misic's career game bettered the 23 points he scored against Missouri-St. Louis back in November 2023. He made 12 of 18 shots overall, buried six of 11 from three-point land, and also provided seven rebounds, three assists, two steals and a block while finishing at a +22.

After a slow start, Bentley ran off ten in a row to open a 15-11 lead with 12:40 left in the first half. Junior forward Joe Carroll (Cedar Grove, N.J./Don Bosco Prep) and graduate guard Aaron Latham (Glastonbury, Conn./Glastonbury HS) bookended the surge with three-pointers, and Misic had his first bucket of the game, a baseline jumper.

A 17-2 Falcon run, from the 9:35 in the first half to the five minute mark, put Bentley in front to stay, 36-23. Sophomore forward Cooper Farrall (Valparaiso, Ind./Culver Academies) played a key role over that stretch, scoring eight points, and Misic added five.

Bentley finished the first half with a 46-35 lead on the strength of 58 percent shooting, seven three-pointers in 13 attempts and 14 assists on 19 field goals.

Seven straight points near the midpoint of the second half resulted on Bentley's first 20-point lead of the game, 69-47. Carroll hit his third three, Misic scored on a second-chance basket and Farrall made two from the line.

Misic was joined in doubles by three teammates. Farrall finished with 15 points and a game-high eight rebounds, Latham had 14 points and seven assists, and junior guard Cash McClure (Readfield, Maine/Maranacook HS) scored ten.

St. Michael's (7-20, 3-16 NE10) received 18 points apiece from senior forward Jacob Duniver (Fredericksburg, Va.) and senior guard CJ Crews (Tampa, Fla.).

The Falcons shot over .500 for the 11th time this season, finishing at .525, and were 14 of 30 from three-point land.

Bentley had an outstanding assist-turnover ratio, with 23 dimes and only five turns, and also had more steals (7) than giveaways.

St. Michael's was limited to a .418 field goal percentage and was just 12 of 33 (.364) from inside the arc. The Purple Knights made 11 of 22 three-pointers, but had 12 turnovers, resulting in 16 Bentley points.

Bentley's final road game of the regular season is Saturday at American International.
