RINDGE, N.H. - #12 ranked Bentley won a defensive battle over Franklin Pierce in its first Northeast 10 game of the season, 9-6 on the road.
Goalkeeper
Ryan Bordiere made 11 saves to earn the win in his first career start.
David Gagnon and
Will Adams both had two goals and two assists to lead the Bentley attack.
Nick McGovern notched two goals as well for the victors.
Bentley led 5-2 after a goal early in the 3
rd quarter by Gagnon in a man-up situation. Franklin Pierce scored two in a row but the Falcons responded with a 2-0 run of its own, with the goals by
Hunter Smith and Adams to take a 7-4 lead at the 6:15 mark of the 3
rd quarter.
The Ravens pulled to within 7-5 after a goal 1:54 into the 4
th quarter, but Gagnon answered shortly after to restore the three goal lead at 8-5.
Neither team scored again for the next nine minutes, but
Brady Glass sealed the win for Bentley with a goal with 1:37 remaining.
Bordiere made six saves in the second half.
