GARDEN CITY, N.Y. –
Will Adams had two goals and three assists but #11 ranked Bentley fell at #2 ranked Adelphi, 12-7 on Sunday afternoon.
The Falcons dropped to 4-3 on the season and 1-2 NE10, while Adelphi stayed unbeaten on the season at 9-0.
The game was tied 4-4 at the 8:54 mark of the second quarter after a goal by Bentley's
Brady Glass. But the Falcons went through a scoreless stretch of 18-plus minutes of game time where the Panthers went on a 5-0 run.
Adelphi's Vincent McDermott had three goals during the run as they opened up a 9-4 lead.
The run was broken when Bentley's
Hunter Smith scored at 5:57 of the 3
rd quarter.
The teams traded goals in the fourth quarter as the Falcons ran out of time to make up the deficit.
The Falcons led 2-1 after the first quarter as
David Gagnon had both goals. Adams and Glass notched goals in the second quarter for Bentley.
Ryan Bordiere made 12 saves in the cage.
Bentley will next play on April 2 at home against Southern New Hampshire.
