Box Score MANCHESTER, N.H. - #18 ranked Bentley outscored Southern New Hampshire 5-3 in the second half and 10-3 in the final three quarters to defeat the Penmen 12-9 on Wednesday.
The Falcons trailed 6-2 after the first quarter but outplayed the Penmen the rest of the way to earn their fifth win of the season. They improved to 5-3 overall and 2-1 NE10.
In a 5-0 second quarter,
Maeve Johnson had two goals.
Amanda Davis,
Natalia Dutkewych and
Sophia Pope notched goals as well.
After their fast start in the first quarter, the Penmen scored just three goals in the final 45 minutes.
Goaltender
Ashlee Wargo made 10 saves to earn the win.
The third quarter saw Davis and Johnson each score twice. Davis' goal with 3:14 left in the quarter gave Bentley an 11-8 lead going into the fourth.
Pope helped clinch the win with a goal with 1:22 to play in the fourth quarter.
Bentley next plays on Saturday at home when they host Saint Anselm at 5:00 PM.
