AMHERST, Mass. –
Sam Capobianco was the top Division II finisher in the 1500 at the New England Track and Field Championship, hosted by UMass Amherst.
Capobianco was sixth in a field of 27 that featured mostly Division I runners. His time was 3:55.0.
The North Reading, Mass., native was coming off winning silver in the 1500 at the NE10 Championship last weekend.
Hayden MacArthur was 11
th in the 800 and was third among D-II or D-III runners with a time of 1:56.27.
MacArthur had won bronze in the 800 at the NE10s last weekend, and along with Capobianco,
Ryan Orr and
Rocco Bueti, won gold in the 4x800 relay.
