Newly renovated Dana Center ready to host Bentley volleyball for first time in 2025

WALTHAM, Mass. – Eleven matches into its 2025 season, the Bentley volleyball team finally prepares to make its home debut in the new Dana Center Gym. The Falcons host Post for a non-conference match Thursday, Sept. 25, at 6 p.m.

A whole new look
Renovation on the Dana Center Gym began April 1, and it was completed just in time for the start of 2025-26 academic year. Barbara Stevens Court is rotated 90 degrees from its previous orientation. A scoreboard is mounted to a wall on one side of the court, and a new videoboard is featured on the opposite wall. A different wall separates the main gym from the practice gym – which is available to other Bentley teams, clubs, and intramurals while Barbara Stevens Court is in use.

She's still Blinny from the block
Senior Elizabeth Blinn claimed her second Northeast 10 honor of the season when she was named the NE10 Defensive Player of the Week on Monday. Blinn totaled 21 blocks between Bentley's three wins during the East Regional Clash hosted by American International (Sept. 19-20). She had nine-block performances against both Molloy and AIC. In all, Blinn averaged 2.1 blocks per set last week. Overall for the season, Blinn's average of 1.73 blocks per set ranks second in NCAA D-II.

The rooks
Lulu Pavan (Sept. 8) and Katelyn Rutledge (Sept. 15) have both earned NE10 Rookie of the Week this season. So far this season, Pavan is averaging 2.95 kills per set, and Rutledge is averaging 2.42 kills per set.

World tour
Tory Vitko has twice been named the NE10 Setter of the Week this season (Sept. 8, Sept. 15). She ranks second in the NE10 for assists per set (8.82), and she has four double-doubles.

Top of the conference
As a team, Bentley leads the NE10 in kills per set (12.39) and blocks per set (1.29). The Falcons rank third in assists per set (11.03) and third in opponent hitting percentage (.138).

Battle tested
Bentley has already gone head-to-head against four different teams that were nationally-ranked at the date of competition: No. 2 Angelo State; No. 5 West Texas A&M; No. 12 Nebraska-Kearney; No. 15 Point Loma.

Scouting Post (9-0)
The Eagles are undefeated this season, including four consecutive 3-0 victories. Kristina Peric leads the attack with 4.17 kills per set, though no other Eagle averages more than 1.75. Alice DiFrancesco averages a team-leading 8.14 assists per set. Defensively, Alani Duncan (0.69 blocks per set) and Alyssa Groves (5.49 digs per set) lead the way for Post.
