Bentley victorious over Adelphi and Felician at WPI Meet

WORCESTER, Mass. – Men's swimming and diving posted a 2-1 record at WPI on Tuesday with Bentley defeating Adelphi and Felician. Leighton Wielgoszinski, Ethan Rehkopf and Owen Angkatavanich were individual winners.

The Falcons defeated Adelphi 152-135 and Felician 202-63, and lost to WPI by a 183-110 score.

Wielgoszinski was victorious in the 500 free race and Rehkopf touched first in the 50 free sprint.

The Falcons went 1-2 in the 50 free, with Jack Meekins taking second place

Angkatavanich won the 3 meter diving event and was second in the 1 meter.

NE10 Swimmer of the Week Daniel Ivanchikov had two individual second place finishes on the day, in the 100 and 200 fly.

Wielgoszinski was also second in the 1000 free.

The final race of the day was the 400 free relay and Bentley's team of Meekins, Ivanchikov, Alex Kosel and Rehkopf were second.

The Falcons next take on Southern Connecticut State on Saturday on the road, before they host Bridgewater State on Sunday for Senior Day.
