Wielgoszinski and Walden win multiple races at Southern Conn

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Leighton Wielgoszinski and Matt Walden run multiple races for Bentley at Southern Connecticut on Saturday but the Falcons fell by a score of 152-142.

Wielgoszinski won the 1650 and 500 free races, plus the 400 IM.

He cruised to a win in the 1650 by 43 seconds.

He won the 500 free with a time of 4:46.26, good for a four seconds victory.

Walden won the 100 and 200 backstroke races.

He also swam the leadoff leg for the victorious 200 medley relay team that also featured Thomas Miele, Daniel Ivanchikov and Jack Meekins.

Ivanchikov won the 100 fly and Zach Ellis the 200 fly.
