Falcons and Ravens go head-to-head in Waltham Saturday

WALTHAM, Mass. – The Bentley men's basketball hosts Franklin Pierce for a Northeast 10 game Saturday, Jan. 10, at 3:30 p.m.
 
Double trouble
Cash McClure and Cooper Farrall both tallied double-doubles at Saint Anselm this week (Jan. 7). McClure had a team-high 19 points to go with 11 rebounds, while Farrall totaled 16 points and 12 boards. It was the fourth double-double of the season for McClure, and the seventh for Farrall.
 
Sharp shooting
Bentley's 80.7 free-throw percentage leads the NE10, and it ranks second in the nation. Cash McClure's 91.7 free-throw percentage is tops in the conference, and it ranks 10th in DII. Mantas Zilys' 87.0 free-throw percentage is fifth in the NE10.
 
Whatever it takes
Cooper Farrall is one of only two NE10 players averaging at least 15 points and nine rebounds this season. Farrall ranks fifth in scoring (16.3), and fourth in rebounding (9.3). Overall this season, his 55.6 field-goal percentage is sixth in the NE10.
 
Flying to the ball
Bentley is limiting opponents to a 39.6 field-goal percentage this season, which stands as the best defensive mark in the NE10. The Falcons also lead the conference in rebounds per game (41.4). Along with Cooper Farrall, Cash Clarke (7.8) and Cash McClure (7.3) rank among the conference's top 10 in rebounding.
 
Scouting Franklin Pierce (4-10, 0-4 NE10)
The Ravens enter the weekend with four consecutive non-conference losses. Their last conference game was a 90-78 loss at Saint Michael's (Dec. 15). Franklin Pierce's defense allows 80.3 points per game, which nearly the highest mark in the NE10 (Assumption, 80.5). Anthony Parker is the conference's fourth-leading scorer, averaging 17.9 points per game. Raymond Baka's 8.6 rebounds per game rank fifth in the conference. Baka is also the team's second-leading scorer, averaging 15.0 points on 52.1-percent shooting from the floor.
