WALTHAM, Mass. – The 2026 season for the Bentley women's lacrosse team gets underway on Saturday when the #23 ranked Falcons visit #13 ranked East Stroudsburg. The game begins at 12:00 pm.
Saturday's game is the first of three straight on the road to begin the season. They visit Roberts Wesleyan on February 28 and Mercy on March 4. The home opener is on March 7 against Kutztown and is the first game of a four-game homestand.
New head coach Ashley Holddridge took the reigns of the program in July after three seasons (2023-25) at Buffalo State. Hailey Galison joined the staff as an assistant coach in January.
The Falcons are coming off a 10-6 record in 2025 which was the program's third straight season with double-digit wins.
Team captains for the 2026 season are
Hailey Bardorf,
Natalia Dutkewych, Peyton Geis and
Betsy Norko.
Caitlin Keenan is the leading returner in points after she had 43 (11g, 32a) in her junior year. Dutkewych is the leading returner in goals with 24.
Sophia Pope and
Ava Mule also return having recorded double digits in points last season. Pope on 13 goals and 13 assists and Mule on seven goals and 11 assists.
Dutkewych led the team in draw controls (53) and garnered a second team All-Conference selection.
Betsy Norko and
Callie Burchill are also key returners in that area. Norko was second on the team (49) and Burchill was fourth (21). Burchill was named to the All-Rookie team last season.
In goal, junior
Lauren Rochel gained plenty of valuable experience in her first two seasons with 19 games played and eight starts. She was an All-Rookie team selection in 2024.
