Stan DeMartinis III tied Bentley baseball coach
Mike Hill for the most home runs in a season (19) and the most career home runs (43) in Bentley history. The Falcons split Saturday's doubleheader with the Hawks.

Bentley 12, Saint Anselm 7
Stan DeMartinis III belted a solo home run in the third inning, and he crushed a three-run homer in the fourth inning to tie the Bentley (31-12, 23-7 NE10) records for most home runs in a season and most home runs in a career.
DeMartinis' fourth-inning homer pushed Bentley's lead to 7-2. The Falcons' five-run fourth inning included RBI singles by
Jared Berardino and
Nick Pappas.
Jake Maydak hit his third home run of the season – a solo in the fifth inning.
Bentley took a 1-0 lead in the top of the first inning when
Curt Heath drew a bases loaded walk, but the Hawks answered with two runs in the bottom of the frame. DeMartinis' solo homer tied the game, 2-2, in the third inning.
Pat Heber earned a gritty win to improve to 6-0 on the season. He allowed seven earned runs, but he still pitched 7.2 innings to save Bentley arms for the rest of the series.

Bentley 10, Saint Anselm 11 (7 inn.)
Jimmy Mitchell hit two home runs, but the Bentley baseball team lost the second game of Saturday's doubleheader.
Mitchell's first home run of the game was a solo bomb that chipped into Saint Anselm's lead, 8-2, in the fourth inning. He hit another solo homer in the fifth inning, cutting Bentley's deficit to 9-7.
Facing an 8-1 deficit after three innings, Bentley plated five runs in the fourth. The rally started with Mitchell's first home run of the game.
Brian Hersh reached base on an error, and
Parker Coleman immediately followed by cracking a two-run homer. It was part of Coleman's three-hit game.
Following a walk to
Tommy Bolton and a single by
Jared Berardino,
Nick Pappas delivered an RBI single. Later in the inning, Berardino came in to score when
Brendan Sencaj lifted a sacrifice fly.
Bentley railed 11-7 heading into the seventh and final inning.
Jake Maydak and Coleman both hit singles to lead off the top of the seventh, and
Jared Berardino launched his 14
th home run of the season to bring the Falcons to within a run. However, Bentley couldn't plate the equalizing run.
Saint Anselm hosts Bentley for another doubleheader Sunday, April 26, starting at 12 p.m.
