WALTHAM, Mass. – The Bentley men's cross country team is picked finish third in the Northeast 10 this season, according this week's NE10 Coaches Preseason Poll.

By returning several key runners from the 2025 squad, the Falcons are expected to significantly improve from last year's seventh-place NE10 Championship finish. Those key runners include seniors Mason Behl, Rocco Bueti, and Hayden MacArthur.

Behl and Bueti both finished among the top 30 runners in last year's conference championship. Bueti's 8K time was 27:55, and Behl crossed the finish line in 28:14.

MacArthur returns from an injury that held him out of the 2025 cross country season. Still, he made a significant impact during the 2025-26 indoor and outdoor track & field seasons. Most notably, MacArthur set the NE10 Indoor Track & Field Championship record in the 800-m.

The 2026 season begins with the Wellesley Invitational, Sept. 4. The New England Championship is Oct. 9 at the Hopkinton State Fair Grounds in New Hampshire. The NE10 Championship is on the Bethpage Polo Grounds in Bethpage, N.Y., Nov. 7.
