Gregor Walz, a Waltham native, was named Bentley's Director of Athletic Communications in August 2023. He spent the previous nine years with the same title at the University of Puget Sound (NCAA DIII) in Tacoma, Washington. 

Through his first three years at Bentley, the @BentleyAthletics Instagram page has seen exceptional growth. Total views (impressions) reached 11.59 million for the 2025-26 academic year, up from 2.5 million in 2023-24. Heading into the 2026-27 academic year, Bentley is the only Northeast 10 member with at least 10,000 followers on Instagram.

Through the course of any given academic year, Walz conducts nealy 100 on-camera interviews with student-athletes. Those interviews range from post-game highlights to feature stories. In addition to overseeing video, photography, and graphic design on a regular basis, Walz was in charge of the BentleyFalcons.com website redesign that launched in August 2024. 

Walz often works with Boston media to promote Bentley's teams. In recent years, Bentley hockey, baseball, volleyball, and women's basketball have been featured by Fox 25 Boston, CBS Boston, 7 News Boston, Channel 5 Boston, Boston Globe, Boston Herald, Waltham Times, and more. Boston media was a regular presence on campus durng the baseball team's historic 2026 postseason run. 

Prior to living in the Pacific Northwest for nearly a decade, Walz was an athletic communications assistant at Northeastern University, a sports media relations graduate assistant at UW-Stevens Point, and an athletics marketing assistant at Wofford College.

Walz lives in Brighton with his wife, Sara, and their dog, Leni.Â
