Brennan Posts Career-Best Time in 2014 Debut

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – In her first competition of the fall, Bentley University junior Sarah Brennan (Quincy/Notre Dame Acad.) posted the fastest 5,000-meter time of her career Saturday morning during the Greater Louisville Cross Country Classic at Tom Sawyer State Park. Brennan covered the distance in 19:15.46 to place 91st in a field of 351 runners.

Two other Falcons cracked the top 250 in a very talented field that included 11 Division I teams and two Division II top 25 squads. Junior Samantha Albanese (Lynnfield/Lynnfield HS) was 245th in 20:34.45 and sophomore Julia Morena (Boylston/Tahanto Reg. HS) followed four places and 3.72 seconds later.

As a team, Bentley was 36th out of 37 in the Blue Division.

Next Saturday, the Falcons will be at Franklin Park for the New England Championships.
