No. 20 Bentley Rolls Past Saint Rose 18-3 in Regular Season Finale, Will Host Pace in NE10 Quarterfinals Next Saturday

Albany, N.Y. – No. 20 ranked Bentley continued its strong play with an 18-3 victory over Saint Rose on the road on Saturday in the final game of the regular season.

The Falcons finished the regular season with a 6-3 record and with wins in six of their last seven games. The victory ensured Bentley will open the NE10 playoffs at home in the quarterfinals on Saturday as the No. 4 seed, and they will take on the No. 5 seed Pace.

Senior attacker Kris Campbell (Longmeadow, Mass./Longmeadow) led the offensive effort with six points, on four goals and two assists. Junior Ben Baldasaro (Exeter, N.H./Exeter) had a hat trick, while junior Connor Gill (Baldwin Place, N.Y./Somers) and freshman Conor Segreti (North Potomac, Md./St. John's) each chipped in with two goals.

Junior Ryan Birch (Walpole, Mass./Walpole) had a game high three assists.

Sophomore Jake Tyska (Natick, Mass./Wayland) and freshman Cam Bartolomeo (Meriden, Conn./Xavier) helped Bentley dominate the faceoff circle. Tyska had a game high seven ground balls, while seniors Connor Baughan (Foxborough, Mass./Portsmouth Abbey) and Cam Egan (Waltham, Mass./Waltham) also had big games. Baughan had five ground balls and Egan four.

Bentley had a huge 1st quarter and led the Golden Knights 8-1 after the first 15 minutes. Gill opened the game with two straight goals, and Campbell had a hat trick in the 1st quarter alone.

Baldasaro had a man-up goal in the 1st quarter and also scored the first goal of the 2nd quarter.

Bentley led 12-2 at halftime as Campbell, Segreti and freshman Devin Smith (Maynard, Mass./Concord-Carlisle) also scored in the quarter.

The Falcons kept it up in the 2nd half and outscored Saint Rose 6-1 to pull away for the 18-3 victory.

Bentley and Pace met early in the season in New York, which the Setters won 14-10, though Bentley led 9-8 after the 3rd quarter.
