Bentley Wins Doubles Point Against BU in Spring Opener

BOSTON, Mass. – Bentley won the doubles point against Division I Boston University in its first match of the spring season but the Terriers won the match 5-2.

Bentley won the doubles point behind Max Bonte (Bradenton, Fla./IMG) and Jordan Soifer (Stamford, Conn./Westhill) in No. 1 and Liam Marr (Franklin, Mass./Franklin) and Noah Monsanto (Woodbridge, N.J./Woodbridge) in No. 3.

Junior Gabe Horwitz (Lake Oswego, Ore./Lake Oswego) also won in No. 3 singles for the Falcons.

BU won the match overall 5-2.

Bonte and Soifer defeated Johann Sajonz and Alejandro Licea 6-3 in the No. 1 doubles match. Marr and Monsanto got the better of Ben Letzer and Gabe Brown in No. 3 by a 6-4 score.

Horwitz defeated Cole Knusten 6-3, 6-3 in the No. 3 singles encounter.

Bentley (2-1) will be back in action on March 13 to open its spring break trip against Scranton in Florida.
