FLUSHING, N.Y. – Ansh Chadha and Rafael Cueto posted singles wins as they represented Bentley at the ITA East Regional Tournament this weekend at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center.

In the main singles draw, Chadha defeated Aurelien Coan of the University of the District of Columbia, 6-3, 6-1 in the round of 64.

Cueto defeated Nagamitsu Kuroda of Saint Thomas Aquinas College in the round of 64 in three sets, 6-3, 3-6, 11-9.

Their runs in the tournament came to a close in the round of 32 as Chadha fell to Victor Tauson from Saint Thomas Aquinas (6-2, 7-5) and Cueto dropped a 6-3, 6-4 decision to Alexis Martin Gibiard from Queens College.

Ryan Reda and Dante Massetta were also in the main singles draw but dropped their opening round matches.

In doubles, Reda and Cueto dropped a tough one to Victor Tauson and Ondrej Sramek from Saint Thomas Aquinas, 8-5.

The quartet of Falcons were Bentley's first representatives at the ITA East Regional since 2017. The event is held each fall at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Queens.

Bentley, 2-0 on the season, returns to team competition on Saturday when they visit Franklin Pierce.
