WALTHAM, Mass. – Dante Massetta was named the Northeast 10 Men's Tennis Rookie of the Year on Wednesday. Courtney Gilman was recognized as the Coach of the Year and Jairaj Sehwani earned a place on the All-Conference first team.

Massetta has been Bentley's primary No. 1 singles player this spring and earned wins over Franklin Pierce, Assumption and Division I Holy Cross. In the fall he picked up wins against Saint Michael's and Adelphi.

Massetta and Ansh Chadha have also been Bentley's main No. 1 doubles pairing throughout the season.

Sehwani was named first team All-Conference in No. 6 singles. He's won four singles matches this spring, including one in Bentley's victory over the NE10's top seed Adelphi on April 16. He's also had wins over Assumption, Franklin Pierce and Saint Michael's this spring.

Gilman guided the Falcons to a spot in the four-team NE10 Championship field. They outperformed their predicted finish in the NE10 preseason poll by two places.

The Falcons face Adelphi in the NE10 semifinals on Thursday at 9:30 am. The tournament is hosted by Southern New Hampshire, and Thursday's match has been moved indoors to the YMCA Allard Center in Goffstown.
