Bradford named NE10 Most Valuable Player

WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley football wideout Rashon Bradford had a conference-leading 74 receptions this fall, but his biggest catch is the 2024 Northeast-10 Most Valuable Player Award.

The senior from Rahway, N.J. led the NE10 in every major receiving category by a wide margin this year. He had 18 more receptions than the next leading conference receiver, and his 1,007 receiving yards were 125 yards ahead of the rest of the field. What's more, Bradford's 13 touchdown receptions led the NE10 by two.

Bradford is Bentley's first 1,000-yard receiver since Drew Mahoney had 1,039 receiving yards in 2019. Bradford's 2024 receiving total ranks 10th all time in Bentley history, his catches for the year ranks seventh all-time. The 13 touchdown catches are tied with Mark DeBrito (1997) for seventh in school history.

On the national level, Bradford finished his season ranked 14th in receiving yards, 9th in receiving yards per game, 7th in receptions, 5th in receiving touchdowns.

Although Bradford's historic season started with eight catches for 58 yards against West Chester (Sept. 7), he didn't really start to hit his stride until the fourth week of the season. That's when he totaled 197 receiving yards on seven catches – three of which for touchdowns – against New Haven (Sept. 27). Two of his three touchdowns went for more than 70 yards.

The following week at Pace (Oct. 5), Bradford had nine catches for 98 yards and two touchdowns. At Assumption (Oct. 12), Bradford nearly matched his New Haven performance by finishing with 170 yards on seven catches and a touchdown.

Bradford recorded his third 100-yard game of the year with a season-high 11 catches against American International (Oct. 19). He also scored twice in the game.

His fourth and final 100-yard game of the season was at Franklin Pierce (Nov. 9), where Bradford caught 10 passes for 117 yards and two touchdowns.

In the season finale against Saint Anselm (Nov. 16), Bradford finished with nine catches for 82 yards and two touchdowns. The Senior Day victory allowed the Falcons to finish the season with an 8-2 overall record.

Bentley claims the NE10 MVP in consecutive years after Salvatore Lupoli Jr. '24 won the honor in 2023. Bentley is the only NE10 member the past 20 years to earn back-to-back MVPs as a program. Marc Eddy '05 was the MVP in 2003 and 2004.

Bradford was an All-NE10 Second Team honoree in 2023.
