Box Score WILMINGTON, Del. – A barrage of three-pointers resulted in a 27-10 lead after the opening quarter and the Bentley University women's basketball team went on to best Wilmington University (Del.), 84-36, Saturday during the second day of the Goldey-Beacom Tip-Off Tournament at Goldey-Beacom's Joseph West Jones Center.

Bentley, number nine in the Women's Basketball Coaches Association Division II preseason coaches poll, improved to 2-0 after draining a dozen three-balls, including seven in the first quarter.

It was a balanced scoring attack for coach
C White's squad as six players tallied between nine and 12 points. Senior guard
Amanda Kabantu (Portland, Maine/Portland HS) was at the top of the list, and both senior forward
Kylie DuCharme (Wilmington, Mass./Wilmington HS) and sophomore guard
Niya Morgen (Swampscott, Mass./St. Mary's HS) each followed with 11.

Wilmington opened and closed the first quarter scoring with three-pointers. But in between, it was all Falcons as they embarked on a 27-4 run. Five different players connected from beyond the arc with both DuCharme and Morgen each making two.

A 15-0 run sandwiched around halftime extended the Bentley advantage to a commanding 55-17 lead midway through the third quarter. A third of the points were scored by Kabantu as she sank two free throws and a left corner three.

The Falcons continued their dominance by outscoring the Wildcats 25-12 in the fourth. Bentley missed only one shot from the field in the stanza with their 10-of-11 including two three-pointers.

DuCharme completed her double-double with ten rebounds and four assists, and was a team-best +41. Morgen made three of four from distance and finished the two-game weekend six of ten. Kabantu complemented her dozen points were five rebounds and four dimes in 20 turnover-free minutes,

Bentley also received a career-best ten points from junior forward
Mikela Cooper (Surprise, Ariz./Valley Vista HS)) and nine from both junior
Cassidy Yeomans (Marion, Mass./Tabor Academy) and junior forward
Julia Elie (Rockland, Mass./Rockland HS).

The Falcons shot .508 overall, made 12 of 25 from three-point range, committed only ten turnovers and dished 24 assists on 32 baskets. The rebound advantage was a +17, 45-28.

Bentley outscored Wilmington by 19 in points off turnovers, by 20 in the paint, by 24 on second-chance opportunities, and by 31 in bench points.

White and her team will open Northeast-10 action Wednesday at Pace University.
