Rowan Breaks Own Record in 60 Meter Dash at New Englands

WALTHAM, Mass. – HaiLian Rowan broke her own school record in the 60 meter dash on Saturday at the NEICAAA Indoor Track & Field Championships on Saturday with a time of 7.92.

Her time bested the 7.93 she ran at the NE10 Championships two weekends ago, which broke the previous school record of 7.97 by Lucy Ambroult last year.

Also competing for the Falcons on Saturday at the New Balance track were Caitlin Burmester and Molly Capece in the one mile.

Burmester claimed her third straight top-five finish in the mile. She finished fifth on Saturday with a time of 5:06.83.

Capece just missed her personal best in the mile by just over a second at 5:30.71.

The Falcons are next scheduled to compete next at the Merrimack Track Carnival on March 28.
