NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Caitlin Burmester just missed out on the podium in the 1500 meter race on day one of the Northeast-10 Outdoor Championships with a fourth place finish.

Burmester finished the race in 4:40.02.

Freshman Molly Capece claimed a top-eight finish in the 1500 with a time of 4:58.87.

Burmester will get another chance at a medal on Saturday, however. She was fourth in the 800 prelims with a time of 2:19.43 to qualify for the finals.

HaiLian Rowan ran a personal outdoor best in the 100 meter at 12.60.

Hannah Croteau posted a personal best time in the 100 hurdles at 16.04.
