Waltham, Mass. – A penalty kick goal by Sydney DeRoche in the 84^th minute gave the Falcons a 1-0 win over New Haven and preserved the Falcons' unbeaten home record to begin the season.

Bentley is now 4-1-2 overall and 1-0-1 in the NE10. They improved to 4-0-1 at home.

A shot by DeRoche from just outside of the penalty area hit the arm of a New Haven defender and led to the PK being awarded.

DeRoche then stepped up to the penalty spot and calmly slotted her kick into the lower right corner of the net for the goal.

The goal was her second of the season.

The Falcons outshot New Haven 29-5 and had an 11-3 edge in shots on goal.

Bentley will next be in action on Wednesday night when they visit Franklin Pierce.
