AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. – Connor Hasley set a Bentley hockey record by shutting out Air Force, 1-0, Friday night.
Hasley tallied 33 saves for his fifth clean sheet of 2024-25 – the most by any Bentley goalie in a single season. The Falcons (12-7-2, 10-4-1 AHA) still have 13 games left in the regular season. Entering Friday night's game, Hasley was tied with Simon St. Pierre (2002-03) for the most shutouts in a season.
Earlier this season Hasley became Bentley's all-time leader for career shutouts. That total now up to eight.
Kellan Hjartarson scored the game-winning goal less than two minutes into the third period. Streaking up the left side, Hjartarson had a quick one-on-opportunity and he buried a shot in the upper right corner. It was his sixth goal of the season.
Jimmy Doyle and
Nick Bochen assisted on the transition goal.
Bentley and Air Force meet again Saturday, Jan. 11, at 7 p.m. (ET).
