Falcons Swim Past Saint Michael’s, 185-98

WALTHAM, Mass. – The Bentley men's swimming and diving team set four meet records en route to a 185-98 victory over Saint Michael's at the Dana Center pool on Sunday.

Freshman Ethan Rehkopf set two meet records in the 50 free (21.53) and the 100 free (48.34).

Daniel Ivanchikov set a meet record in the 200 free with a time of 1:47.55. The Leola, Pennsylvania native also won the 100 fly in 52.44.

The Falcons began the meet by winning the 200 medley relay with a meet record time of 1:38.54. Matt Walden swam the leadoff leg and was followed by Kenny Ryu, Zach Ellis and Rehkopf.

Leighton Wielgoszinski was victorious in the 1000 free with a time of 10:03.22.

Walden won the 100 back in 54.89 and Ryu won the 100 breaststroke in 1:00.87.

Freshman Zach Ellis earned a win in the 200 fly (2:04.56) and sophomore Griffin Keliher took the 200 back (2:00.28).

Owen Angkatavanich won both 1 meter diving events with scores of 150.45 and 219.30

The Falcons, now 5-1 on the season, will next turn their attention to the WPI Tri-Meet on Tuesday.
