WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley continues its season opening road swing on Saturday night when they visit #11 UMass at the Mullins Center. Faceoff is set for 7:30 pm.
The game will be streamed on

The Falcons and Minutemen met in the season opener last season at Bentley Arena with UMass holding off a furious Bentley rally in the third period to hang on for a 5-4 victory.
Ryan Mansfield,
Nick Bochen and
A.J. Hodges scored in the third period as Bentley nearly completed a comeback from 5-1 down.
This will be just the fourth all-time meeting between the two programs and it will be Bentley's first visit to the Mullins Center since the 2011-12 season. The Falcons won the first ever matchup in the 2009-10 season, at the UConn Classic by a 4-1 score.
Bentley began the season last weekend with a tough trip out west against Colorado College and #5 Denver. In the opener against CC, goaltender
Easton Hesse made 31 saves in his Bentley debut and goals were scored by
Arlo Merritt and
Jake Black.
UMass will have four games under its belt when they take the ice on Saturday. They swept Northern Michigan in a series at home on Oct. 4-5 and then defeated Stonehill in a game in Boston, 4-1 on Oct. 10. They will host Northeastern on Friday night for its first Hockey East game of the season.
Following Saturday's game, the Falcons will prepare for their first two home games of the season, and first Atlantic Hockey games, on October 24 and 25 against Canisius.
