WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley's
Marton Nemes is set to represent his native Hungary at the 2026 IIHF World Championship tournament that gets underway in Switzerland this weekend.
Held annually, the tournament is one of the top international hockey competitions in the world
Hungary has seven group stage games scheduled, starting on Saturday against Finland in Zurich. That's followed by a game on Saturday against Austria.
Tournament Schedule
Nemes has previously represented Hungary in international tournaments at the U20 and U18 levels.
In his freshman year at Bentley, he tallied 13 points on four goals and nine assists. He played in 39 of 40 games as the Falcons won their second straight Atlantic Hockey championship.
