A thriller for the first
CJ Scarpa '17 won his first game as Bentley's head coach in thrilling fashion. The Falcons outlasted American International, 41-34, in overtime in Springfield, Mass. last week (Sept. 27). The game was tied at halftime, 13-13, but Bentley erupted for 21 points in the third quarter. AIC outscored the Falcons in the fourth quarter, 14-0, to force the extra period. The Falcons got possession first, and they scored the go-ahead touchdown in just four plays. AIC's ensuing possession saw the Yellow Jackets in a 3
rd-and-15 situation. From there,
Connor Cronk and
Lou DiBiase combined for an 18-yard sack to effectively seal the win.
