WALTHAM, Mass. – Following a week in which the Bentley volleyball team swept three conference opponents, a pair of Falcons earned Northeast 10 honors.
Elizabeth Blinn was named the NE10 Defensive Player of the Week, and
Tory Vitko earned NE10 Setter of the Week. It is fourth such honor for Blinn this season, and the fifth for Vitko.
NE10 Release
Bentley's wins last week came against Franklin Pierce (Oct. 14), Southern Connecticut (Oct. 17), and American International (Oct. 19).
Through those nine sets, Blinn totaled 19 blocks. The senior's average of 1.72 blocks per set leads all of NCAA D-II.
Vitko totaled 90 assists between the three matches last week. She ranks second in the NE10 for assists per set (9.18).
The Falcons (16-4, 7-0 NE10) are in first place in the NE10, and they carry a 12-match winning streak into the start of this week.
Bentley's stretch of six consecutive road matches begins at Assumption Tuesday, Oct. 21, at 7 p.m.
