WORCESTER, Mass. –
Michael Haikal scored two goals, one in each half, as Bentley men's soccer downed Assumption 3-1 on Saturday night.
The Falcons improved to 5-1-1 overall and 3-0 in the NE10 with the win. They are one of just two teams left that has yet to lose or tie a game in conference play.
After falling behind early 1-0 in the 7
th minute on a goal by Assumption's Alex Gerremo, Bentley scored three unanswered.
Lukas Drahos scored in the 29
th minute, assisted by
Michael Gouvin.
A little over four minutes later, Haikal scored unassisted to give Bentley the lead at 2-1.
In the 59
th minute Haikal scored again to give the Falcons a 3-1 cushion.
Bentley dominated in the shots category at 22-5 overall and 9-1 in shots on goal.
The Falcons will look to remain unbeaten in league play with they host Southern New Hampshire on Tuesday at 3:00 pm.
