WALTHAM, Mass. – Isaiah Decias has been named the Northeast 10 Offensive Player of the Week, and
Henry Schouten earned NE10 Defensive Player of the Week following the Bentley football team's 20-17 conference title win over Assumption (Nov. 8).
Decias totaled 153 receiving yards on six catches, including a 43-yard touchdown reception in the first quarter. He finished four yards shy of matching his career-high.
Schouten led Bentley's championship defensive efforts with a game-high 15 tackles, and he recovered a fumble in the first quarter. It is the third NE10 Defensive Player of the Week honor for Schouten this season. Schouten not only leads the NE10 in tackles per game (12.4), but he ranks third in NCAA DII for the category.
Decias missed the first three games of the season, but the Falcons (6-3, 6-1 NE10) are undefeated since his return. He easily leads the conference in receiving yards per game, with an average of 97.3. No other conference player averages more than 76 receiving yards per game.
Bentley won its first NE10 title since 2019, and the program will make its first NCAA Championship appearance since 2021.
The Falcons' regular season concludes Saturday, Nov. 15, with Senior Day. The non-conference kickoff against American International is set for 12 p.m.
