NEWBERRY, S.C. – Bentley field hockey saw their successful 2025 season come to a close on Saturday when they fell in the first round of the NCAA Tournament to the #1 overall seed Newberry 4-1.
The Falcons, the #8 seed in the tournament and 10
th ranked nationally, were making their first appearance in the NCAAs since 2021. They had previously advanced to the NE10 finals for the first time since 2009.
Newberry kept its unbeaten season going at 19-0 and they will play the #5 seed West Chester next in the national semifinals.

Bentley's goal came from
Madeline Krepelka in the 4
th quarter, her 10
th of the season.
That made her one of three players to reach double-digit goals, with
Gracie Moore (15) and
McKenzie Carey (10) the others.
Bentley finished the season with a 13-9 overall record.
