Bentley Falls to Saint Michael’s 1-0 in NE10 First Round

COLCHESTER, Vt. - #3 seed Saint Michael's won at home over #6 seed Bentley 1-0 on Sunday in the first round of the Northeast 10 Women's Soccer Championship.

A goal by Scarlett Brookes in the 51st minute, her 12th of the season, was the difference.

The Purple Knights (16-2-1) advanced to the semifinals where they will face the #2 seed Franklin Pierce.

It was a defensive struggle for 90 minutes as the goal by Brookes was the only shot on goal by either team. There were just six corner kicks on the afternoon.

The Falcons saw their record fall to 6-7-4.
