Bentley readies to take on Post in Bridgeport Tuesday

WALTHAM, Mass. – The Bentley men's basketball team heads to Connecticut to take on Post Tuesday, Dec. 16, at 3 p.m. The game has been moved from Post's Drubner Center to Bridgeport's Harvey Hubbell Gymnasium due to a water main break in Waterbury, Connecticut.
 
The dish
Bentley averages 15.57 assists per game, which ranks third in the NE10. Cash McClure's 4.0 assists per game ranks fifth in the conference, and Jordan Elliott closely follows with an average of 3.9 assists per game.
 
Battle on the boards
Bentley is the NE10's second-leading rebounding team, averaging 41.0 rebounds per game. The Falcons are one of two NE10 teams with two players in the top 10 for rebounding. Cooper Farrall's 8.9 rebounds per game ranks fifth in the NE10, and Chase Clarke ranks seventh with 8.4 boards. Cash McClure is just outside the top 10, as he ranks 11th with an average of 6.4 rebounds per game.

In addition ranking fifth in the NE10 for rebounding, Cooper Farrall is the conference's seventh-leading scorer with 15.9 points per game. He has three double-doubles this season. In Bentley's two most recent games, he finished a rebound shy of a double-double against both Southern New Hampshire (Dec. 3) and Saint Michael's (Dec. 6).
 
Bentley's bench
Osiris Nalls, Mantas Zilys, and Joe Carroll have each made significant contributions playing exclusively off the bench so far this season. Nalls is averaging 10.3 points per game, and he was named the NE10 Rookie of the Week following the first week of the season. Zilys is averaging 10.0 points through seven games, including a season-high of 17 against Assumption (Nov. 25). Although Carroll has hit a brief cold streak from deep, he is still shooting 41.2-percent from 3-point range this season.
 
Cash in one more
Cash McClure is one point away from reaching 1,000 career points with Bentley. He will be the 59th Falcon in program history to reach the millennial mark. McClure is averaging 11.5 points through 87 career games at Bentley.

Bentley's 80.2 free-throw percentage leads the NE10. Mantas Zilys (90.6-percent) and Cash McClure (89.5-percent) rank third and fourth, respectively, in the NE10 for free-throw percentage. Ivan Misic ranks seventh by shooting 83.3-percent from the stripe.
 
Scouting Post (3-6)
A member of the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC), the Eagles have played four games against NE10 teams, and they're 1-3 in those games. Post opened its season with a win over Southern Connecticut (83-76; Nov. 14), but then lost consecutive games against Franklin Pierce (76-66; Nov. 16), and Assumption (91-74; Nov. 19). Post closed out November with a 77-67 loss against Southern New Hampshire (Nov. 30). Three players average double-digits in scoring, led by Ta'Quan Williams with 12.9 points per game. Zion Lott averages 11.6 points, and Derrick Thomas II averages 11.4. Thomas III is the team's leading rebounder (6.6). Lott has attempted a team-high 49 3-pointers, though he has made 16 of them (32.7-percent). No other player for post has attempted more than 35 treys through the team's nine games.
