ROCKVILLE CENTRE, N.Y. – The No. 21 Bentley women's basketball team set the tone early on its way to beating Molloy, 69-50, Tuesday evening.
The Falcons (4-1) raced out to a 10-2 lead within the first six minutes of the game, as
Cassidy Yeomans hit consecutive 3-pointers within a one-minute stretch. Bentley held a 16-6 lead after the opening 10 minutes, continuing its stretch of dominance in the first quarter.
Over the last four games, Bentley is outscoring the opposition in the first quarter, 84-41.
Bentley erupted for 25 points in the second quarter, taking a 41-20 lead into halftime.
Niya Morgen scored 11 points in that second quarter, and she finished the game with a team-high 17 points.
Ciara Norman pulled down a season-high 10 rebounds in the win.
Bentley's defense held Molloy to 37.8-percent shooting from the floor. Eight Falcons recorded at least one steal, as Bentley finished with a season-high 16 swipes.
The Falcons make their 2025-26 home debut Saturday, Dec. 6, against Saint Michael's. Tipoff is set for 12 p.m.
