WALTHAM, Mass. – Four Bentley volleyball players earned All-Region honors, and
Joey Pacis was named the East Region Coach of the year.
Senior
Elizabeth Blinn, sophomore
Sophia Poehlein, and sophomore
Tory Vitko, each earned All-Region honors from the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) and the D2 Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA). Freshman
Lulu Pavan earned All-Region Honorable Mention from the AVCA. Blinn made All-Region First Team D2CCA, while Poehlein and Vitko earned Second Team. That trio was All-Region First Team AVCA.Â
Pacis, the 2025 Northeast 10 Coach of the Year, was named the East Region Coach of the Year by the AVCA. He led the Falcons to an undefeated NE10 regular season, marking the program's first unbeaten conference season since 2005. The Falcons also claimed the NE10 Tournament Championship for the first time since 2019. Blinn took home NE10 Tournament Most Outstanding Player.
Following the regular season, Blinn was named the NE10 Defensive Player of the Year, and Vitko was named the NE10 Setter of the Year. Those two, along Poehlein, earned All-NE10 First Team. Pavan was an All-NE10 Second Team honoree.
Blinn is currently tied for the national lead in blocks per set (1.67). She totaled 12 blocks in eight sets during the NE10 Tournament. Poehlein has a team-high 3.62 kills per set, and she put away 26 kills during the NE10 Tournament. Vitko averages 9.27 assists pet set, and she has 10 double-doubles this season. Two of those double-doubles came during the NE10 Tournament. Pavan is Bentley's second leader for kills per set (2.91), and she has posted double-digit kills in 12 matches during her first season of collegiate volleyball.
Bentley is the #1 seed in the NCAA East Region Tournament for the second consecutive year. The Falcons host the Regional staring Thursday, Dec. 4. Bentley's first-round match is against #8 Bridgeport at 4:30 p.m.
