GARDEN CITY, N.Y. – Amanda Davis scored a game-high four goals but #18 ranked Bentley fell at #10 ranked and NE10 rival Adelphi on Wednesday night, 12-8.

Davis' fourth goal of the night with 9:06 left in the game capped a 3-0 Bentley run and pulled them to within 9-8. But that was the last goal they could score and Adelphi closed on a 3-0 run to pull away for the 12-8 victory.

Trailing 9-5 in the third quarter, Ava Mule scored for the Falcons with 5:28 left remaining. Maeve Johnson then tallied a woman-up goal with 2:28 left in the quarter to cut the deficit to 9-7.

Almost six minutes of the fourth quarter elapsed without either team scoring until Davis fired in a goal, with Nat Dutkewych on the assist, to make it a 9-8 game.

The Panthers went ahead 10-8 on a goal by Marielle Colalilo at the 7:10 mark, then received goals in the final minutes from Ashley Kolomechuk and Alexandra Leggio.

In the first half the Falcons received goals from Dutkewych, Betsky Norko and two from Davis.

Bentley (3-3, 0-1 NE10) will next take the field on Saturday to host Assumption at 12:00 pm.
