WALTHAM, Mass. - #18 ranked Bentley won its third straight game at home with a 13-9 victory over Northeast-10 Conference rival Assumption on Saturday.
The Falcons improved to 4-3 overall, 3-0 at home and 1-1 in the NE10.
Maeve Johnson led Bentley's attack with six goals. That's the fourth time she has at least six goals in a game this season. She also moved to within 17 of breaking
Alyssa Ritchie's program career record of 198 goals.
Bentley never trailed after they scored the first two goals of the game.
Amanda Davis got things started with a goal at 10:18 of the first quarter and Johnson scored at the 8:06 mark.
Assumption scored the next two goals, but a tally by
Ava Mule at 2:49 of the opening quarter gave Bentley the lead for good.
The Greyhounds made it a 5-4 game with a goal by Katelynn Johnston at 10:27 of the 2
nd quarter. But after that goal, Bentley shutout the Greyhounds until the final seconds of the third quarter for a scoreless streak of over 25 minutes of game time.
During that scoreless run Bentley built its lead to 12-4 with seven unanswered goals. Johnson had four goals in the run.

Falcons goalie
Ashlee Wargo made 11 saves to earn the win. Kat Slattery had two caused turnovers and two draw controls and
Natalia Dutkewych had a co-game high four draw controls.
Bentley will next play on Wednesday at Southern New Hampshire.
