WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley plays for the Atlantic Hockey championship on Saturday at Holy Cross. Puck drop at the Hart Center in Worcester is set for 7:00 PM. Tickets for the game are sold out but a watch party will be held at Harry's on the Bentley campus. The game is also streamed live on

The Falcons, the #3 seed, are looking for the first AHA championship in program history. They've made the finals only one other time in the 2006 season.
Bentley is 4-0 in its run to the championship game with a sweep of Canisius in the quarterfinals and Sacred Heart in the semifinals. Three of the wins have been shutouts. Both games against Canisius and game two against Sacred Heart on Saturday.
Holy Cross, the #1 seed, advanced with a three game series win over AIC in the quarterfinals and a sweep of Army West Point in the semifinals.
As has been the case all season, it's been a complete team effort for the Falcons during the postseason run. 16 different players have at least one point over the four games. Defense and goaltending have been outstanding. Senior
Tanner Main leads the way with 10 blocked shots and
Connor Hasley has a .980 save percentage and 0.50 GAA in the playoffs.
Bentley and Holy Cross played most recently on Feb. 20 in Worcester which the Falcons won 3-0.
Jake Black had a goal late in the first period for an early 1-0 lead and it was a tight game throughout.
Stephen Castagna and
Nik Armstrong-Kingkade scored empty-net goals in the final two minutes to secure the win.
They also played a series at Bentley Arena on Jan. 17-18 which Holy Cross swept by scores of 3-2 (ot) and 5-1.
Despite the long history these programs have playing against each other and proximity of the campuses, this will be just the second postseason meeting. Saturday will be the 88
th all-time meeting but the only other one to occur in the postseason was the 2006 finals.
The winner will earn Atlantic Hockey's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. The selection show is scheduled for Sunday night.
