WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley's Kat Slattery was named the Northeast 10 Conference Defensive Player of the Week, for the second time this season on Monday.
Slattery keyed Bentley's defense in a 2-0 week that saw the Falcons hold their opponents, Franklin Pierce and AIC, to just nine goals combined.
Slattery combined for 16 draw controls, nine ground balls and three caused turnovers. She also chipped in offensively with one goal and one assist.
In Bentley's win over AIC on Saturday, she had a career-high seven ground balls to go along with eight draw controls and two caused turnovers.
On the season, she leads the team in caused turnovers (18) and ground balls (32).
Slattery was previously the Defensive Player of the Week on March 31.
Bentley is ranked 20
th in this week's IWLCA poll. They host Southern Connecticut on Wednesday night in its final regular season home game.
