McClure Selected for CSC Academic All-America Honors

WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley University junior guard Cash McClure (Readfield, Maine/Maranacook HS) has been named to the 2024-25 NCAA Division II Men's Basketball Academic All-America third team by the College Sports Communicators.
              
It's the latest postseason award attained by McClure, who had the team's second best scoring average and was seventh in the Northeast-10 in scoring (16.4), rebounding (7.1) and assists (101). The list includes first-team All-Northeast-10, first-team NABC Division II All-Region, second-team D2CSC All-East and Academic All-Northeast-10.
              
McClure's season included ten 20-point games and three double-doubles. He was an ironman, averaging 37 minutes a game and playing at least 35 in 22 games, including the last 11.
              
McClure, a finance major, also shined in the classroom with a 3.93 cumulative grade point average.
              
McClure is the Falcons' seventh Academic All-America and the fifth in the last decade. On that list, he joins Jim Fuerst (1972-73), Joe Betley (1977-78, 1978-79, 1979-80), Keegan Hyland (2014-15, 2015-16), Tyler McFarland (2015-16), Ryan Richmond (2018-19) and Matt Leritz (2022-23).
