RINDGE, N.H. – Eleven different players found the back of the net as No. 19 ranked Bentley defeated Franklin Pierce on the road 19-6 on Tuesday.
Amanda Davis led the attack with four goals.
Maeve Johnson and Natalie Dutkewych both had hat tricks and
Sophia Pope notched two goals.
Bentley blanked Franklin Pierce in the second half and outscored them 10-0. Overall, it's the seventh time this season they have held opponents to single digit goals.
The Falcons improved to 5-2 in the Northeast 10 and 8-4 overall.
Dutkewych opened the scoring 27 seconds into the game and Bentley raced out to a 7-0 lead after the opening 12-plus minutes.
Pope had two goals during the run but the scoring was balanced with five other goal scorers.
The Ravens made a push with a 4-0 run that extended into the early parts of the second quarter to cut the deficit to 7-4.
Davis and Dutkewych scored for the Falcons in the second quarter. The lead never dipped below three goals and they led 9-6 at halftime.
FPU didn't score in the second half and Bentley began to pull away with a three-goal spurt in a span of 2:06 in the third quarter, starting with a goal by Dutkewych at the 9:35 mark.
In the fourth quarter,
Caitlin Keenan and
Callie Burchill had one goal apiece and Johnson scored the final three goals of the night.
Bentley will next be in action on Saturday at 1:30 when they host AIC for Senior Day.
