WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley landed 20 student-athletes on the Northeast 10 Spring Academic All-Conference teams, it was announced on Monday.
Bentley athletes from eight different spring sports were represented, with the baseball and men's lacrosse squads leading the way with four players each.
To be eligible for selection to NE10 Academic All-Conference teams, a student-athlete must have met or exceeded the following minimum requirements:
- Started in at least half or played in at least two-thirds of the team's competitions as a significant contributor.
- Achieved a 3.30 cumulative grade-point average (GPA) or better on a 4.0 scale.
From the baseball team,
Keegan Antelman,
Pat Heber,
Nick Pappas and
Brendan Sencaj were selected. The quartet helped the Falcons set a program record for wins for the second straight season. Sencaj and Heber were the NE10 Northeast Division Player and Pitcher of the Year, respectively.
Men's lacrosse, which reached the NCAA Tournament for the third consecutive year, was represented by
Will Adams,
Nathan Alviti,
David Gagnon and
Alex Parton. It's a third straight selection for Parton and Alviti's second of his career. All four were named either All-Conference or All-New England this spring.
Coming off its second NCAA Tournament appearance in three seasons, the softball team saw
Jordan Krause and
Jess Morrison receive Academic All-Conference recognition. Krause became the program's first ever NFCA All-American and she was the NE10 Defensive Player of the Year. Morrison was named third team All-NE10 and to the CSC Academic All-District team.
The women's lacrosse team was represented by
Ashlee Wargo and
Caitlin Keenan. Wargo started all 16 games in goal for the Falcons and was named the NE10 Goalie of the Week on March 31. Keenan was fourth in the conference in assists per game (2.00) and had 32 in total. Both were selected to the CSC Academic All-District team.
Rocco Bueti,
Sam Capobianco and
Ryan Orr were voted Academic All-Conference for men's track and field. The trio were all named to the CSC Academic All-District team last week. They were also three of the runners on Bentley's gold medal winning 4x800 relay teams at both the NE10 Indoor and Outdoor Championships.
Maria Mella was voted Academic All-Conference for women's tennis. The team captain, she played in No. 2 singles and No. 1 doubles. She was on the CSC Academic All-District team as well for the 2024-25 season.
Women's track and field saw
Caitlin Burmester and
Mia Bonner selected Academic All-Conference. Burmester was the NE10 Female Scholar Athlete of the Year and this is her ninth career Academic All-Conference award combined for track and cross country. Bonner, a sophomore, was named to the CSC Academic All-District team last week.
The duo of
Chris Huban and
Evan Desjardins represented the men's golf team. They both competed at the NCAA Division II Atlantic/East Regional tournament in May. The pair also both received NE10 All-Conference and CSC Academic All-District recognition.
