WALTHAM, Mass. – Winners of three tournament already this season, the Bentley women's golf teams is picked to finish second in the Northeast 10 Championship,
according to a recent poll of head coaches.
The Championship is this Tuesday and Wednesday (Sept. 30 – Oct. 1) at the Stonebridge Country Club in Goffstown, N.H.
The Bentley program was launched at the start of the 2024-25 academic year – just over 12 months ago. In the short amount of time since then, the Falcons have become legitimate NE10 title contenders.
So far this season, Bentley has won the Hartford Invitational (Sept. 6-7), the Franklin Pierce Invitational (Sept. 18), and the Southern Maine Invitational (Sept. 21).
Individually,
Isabel Gonzalez placed first in the latter two tournament. The freshman from Monterrey, Mexico was named the NE10 Women's Golfer of the Week last week (Sept. 24).
Bentley finished fifth in last year's NE10 Championship.
Tanya Chowdary led the Falcons by placing 11
th overall. Her two-round score was 163.
Alexandra Kwon placed 20
th last year, and
Jillian Miles was 22
nd.
