WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley field hockey dropped a 2-0 decision to #6 nationally ranked Bloomsburg on Thursday night in its home and season opener.

Bloomsburg received goals from Alyxandra Flick in the second quarter and Kendall Iasiello in the third quarter.

Falcons goalie Annie Lorenz made eight saves in her first career start.

The game marked the first of a five-game gauntlet for the Falcons against ranked teams to begin the season.

They next face #7 West Chester at home on Sunday, with a 12:00 pm start.
