Haikal’s Goal Gives Bentley 1-0 Victory over Caldwell in Opener

LAKEWOOD, N.J. – Senior captain Michael Haikal scored in the 59th minute to help lift Bentley to a 1-0 victory over Caldwell in the season opener on Thursday on the campus of Georgian Court.

Haikal's goal came just before the hour mark and sent the men's soccer team on its way to the victory.

The Falcons smothered Caldwell defensively and allowed them just one shot on goal and six shots overall.

Bentley had eight shots on goal and 13 overall. Logan Veloria had four shots overall and two on target.

Grad student and fellow team captain Cam Hall helped Bentley keep the clean sheet and record the shutout.

The Falcons next play the hosts Georgian Court on Saturday at 2:00 pm.
