WALTHAM, Mass. – One year after making school history, the Bentley women's cross country team begins its 2025 season in the Hartford Invitational Saturday, Sept. 6.
The Falcons enter the season as the defending Northeast 10 Champions. The program won its first-ever conference title last fall.
Sophomore
Lily Tedford had a huge role in obtaining the NE10 hardware. As a freshman, Tedford placed 14
th in the NE10 Championship, posting a time of 23:20.06.
Molly Capece, now a junior, also finished inside the top-20 of the conference title race. Her time was 23:36.66, good for 17
th overall.
In addition to those two Falcons, sophomore
Samantha Doran is ready to take a big step in her young Bentley career. She placed 32
nd in the 2024 NE10 Championship (24:56.73).
Sophomores Marissa Rayhill and
Amelia Luetjen are expected to often be among Bentley's top-five finishers throughout this season.
Following the opening meet in Hartford, Bentley runs in the UMass Dartmouth Invitational (Sept. 20).
The New England Championships are Oct. 10 in Hopkinton, N.H. The Falcons aim to defend their conference crown in Manchester, N.H., where the NE10 Championships are held (Oct. 26).
