WALTHAM, Mass. – Five Falcons scored in double figures, and
Cash McClure came away with another double-double in the Bentley men's basketball team's 79-45 win over American International Wednesday night.
McClure posted 12 points and 10 rebounds for his fifth double-double of the season. He has three double-doubles in his last four games.
Cooper Farrall scored a game-high 18 points to go with eight rebounds, while
Chase Clarke matched those eight boards and added 10 points.
Ivan Misic scored 12 points for Bentley (10-5, 3-3 NE10).
The Falcons shot 50.0-percent from the floor while holding AIC (2-14, 1-5 NE10) to just 26.2-percent.
The win is Bentley's largest margin of victory since Dec. 2023 when the Falcons beat Felician, 106-71.
AIC was hanging tough with Bentley through the first 10 minutes of the game. The Falcons' first double-digit lead didn't come until Clarke scored in the paint to make it a 22-12 game with 8:27 left in the first half. The Falcons went on a tear to close out the first half, taking a 43-26 halftime lead into the locker room.
The lead reached 20 points, 46-26, when Misic hit a 3-pointer less than five minutes into the second half. The advantage eclipsed the 30-point mark, 72-41, when Farrall hit a trey with 5:38 left in the game.
Bentley next has a conference game on the road Saturday, Jan. 17, when the Falcons tipoff against Assumption at 3:30 p.m.
