NEW HAVEN, Conn. - #18 ranked Bentley saw its eight-game winning streak snapped at Southern Connecticut with a 57-39 defeat on Saturday afternoon.
In a matchup between the top two teams in the Northeast 10, the Owls avenged a 75-62 defeat to the Falcons in Waltham on January 4. Both teams are now tied atop the NE10 standings with 10-1 records.
Niya Morgen was the only Falcon to reach double figures in points with 13 on a tough shooting day for the visitors. They shot just 26.2 % overall (16-61) and 22.7 % from three (5-22).

Kayana Armbrister with 6:12 remaining in the second quarter was the last time Bentley led, 18-17. However, that was their final field goal of the half as Southern Conn led 26-19 at halftime.
The Owls held Bentley to just four points in the third frame and they opened up a 41-23 lead heading into the final 10 minutes.
Rheyna Steinauer scored a game high 21 points for Southern Conn and Tish Blackwood had a double-double with 18 points and 14 rebounds.
Bentley (14-3) next plays on Wednesday at home against Saint Anselm.
